08/15 Boomer 131 at PMBG down to 117 at +3

Well he's up to 140 this morning.
The .5 of alprazolam that was given to him at 6:00pm last night with dinner made him hyper and very vocal for several hours. Not the affect that the vet wanted I don't think but Boomer is Boomer and as we know he seems to react the opposite way of the way he should be! I am hoping his increased level last night and this morning is a result of the drug although it was a pill and I was told it was ok for diabetics. But, again, Boomer is Boomer so you never know!

Wendy...to respond to your comment on yesterday's post....yes I will definitely be letting the vet know what happened!

I will continue tests in the AM and PM and at +3. Meanwhile, any suggestions as to what I can do to help Boomer are certainly appreciated!!

Level is down a little bit at dinnertime. Will test at +3.
Sent a long message to Boomer's dr a while ago telling him what happened after the meds last night. He agrees that we should not give him more Monday morning prior to car ride to vet's.

Good to see a bit downward or steady numbers. Have you tried Rescue Remedy or Feliway spray before a car ride?
