Still mostly pink. He seems to be eating good. Still has diarrhea. Gave him .5 R to curb the highs. Thinking he’s gonna break the bounce in 2 days? So watch for it on 8/10 PMPS???

Also, thinking I should leave him at 7L until he breaks bounce? Agree?

I spoke too soon… he has vomited twice and had diarrhea in the middle of the floor. He is not feeling good and his BG is holding steady at 170. Maybe all this food changing is exacerbating this bout of upset stomach he’s going through? His ketones were 0.0 so that’s good.
I don’t think I am going to be comfortable giving him 7L if he doesn’t eat and hold down some food. Thoughts? His PMPS is in an hour and 1/2 roughly.

Also, should I give him subQ fluids? I have 2 other CKD kitties that get squids once a week. I could easily give him some to keep him hydrated. ???

I think a token dose is your best bet. Let me take a peek at your ss. Be right back.

I think anything I feed him, he’s going to vomit. I have some zofran but he’s not keeping that downs either. I think I may try that again first. I’ve never shot him this low before with Lantus (blues are pretty new to him!)

He seems like he has the flu. I may have to take him to ER.
 
Since no ketones you could skip tonight. What awhile and see if he seems to be interested in food.
 
Yes! Sorry I fell asleep! Woke up at 3am and gave him more Zofran, some R (his BG was 260) and he ate some food and drank some water. Hoping he keeps it all down! It’s been 30 mins, so I think we’re back on business. :bighug: Will restart 7L at AMPS and hold it steady for 6 cycles.

Hopefully he’s out of the woods with the tummy problems. Going to keep his food consistent for the next several days too.
