Are you giving the cerenia every day?
No. It doesn't look right to me that he'll have diarrhoea. It's adding to his stress. And I'm not sure that he has nausea. He eats by himself but not much and def not as much as he needs to now. He's never been a great eater and I alway needed to feed him with a spoon so that's not new.

I called the vet yesterday and ask for the medication you suggested (onda something) I was told they'll back to me but as per usual they haven't. I'll try with the local vet today

Though I do want to add something I wasn't sure about last night.

I was waiting for +3 to test him and I noticed that he kept on yawning stretching and then turning to lie on the other side. Yawnig stretching and then changing again side. He seemed a bit uncomfortable in his body but I attributed that to the high BG. I've notice before so far that each time his BG goes high he seems very uncomfortable in his body, he's more resentful to the shot and SQ, he's not asking to come on the bed and be next to me...

Does that tell you something?

It might not be this...but cats who are used to high numbers feel uncomfortable in lower numbers when they first start seeing them...once they get used to lower numbers, they don't much care for higher numbers. Maybe Fistuk is getting comfortable in the 180-250 range and is therefore not so happy in higher numbers (350+)?

What tests do you suggest for today? And shall I feed him every hour bit?
I noticed that waking him every hour might be too much for him. Perhaps every two hours? what's your advice

I noticed that waking him every hour might be too much for him.
Why is that?

It's possible that the red at PMPS last night was the high before he clears the bounce. He's also lower this morning so you could have an active bounce clearing cycle today. Do you think you can feed him at +2 and get a +3 for starters?

I have to say that he really likes eating from the syringe and he looks expectantly at them, it's funny. I need to make sure I'm not giving him too much in one go. Perhaps I'll try every hour today and see how it goes
It's important that he eats, so if he likes eating with the syringe then go for it! He probably wants to be fed and pampered!:bighug:

We have been having a discussion behind the scenes about Fistuk and maybe he has pancreatitis. I think it would be worthwhile you getting either an fPL snap ( this test tells you yes or no to pancreatitis) or an fPL spec ( this test gives you a number as to how severe it could be) test done. The fPL snap test is done in the vets surgery and the PL spec test is sent away.
Symptoms can be loss of appetite, dehydration, diarrhoea, pain, and lethargy among others. Stretching and lying on the other side could be trying to manage pain.
You are already giving antinausea meds and doing sub Qfluids, so it might be worth while getting one of the fPL tests done if you can and if positive, getting some pain meds.
We do need him to be eating plenty of food so keep up with the cerenia and ask about the ondansetron.

He's had an ultrasound about a week ago and it was ruled out.

Diarrhoea happens to him only when he's given medications. Otherwise he's good. And the diarrhoea he had at the beginning wa bc of the food I gave him which was cooked chicken, it was unbalanced.

I don't give him any pain medication. Only the anti nausea. It could be that 8mg Cerenia is too much for him. I'm going to pick up Ondansetron. Vet thinks it should be given only when necessary.

We've got a swiss lake today :woot:

He just delivered his goods.... well formed and solid. Which tells me once again no meds, no diarrhoea.

I noticed that hes doing his business regularly every around 2pm (+6)

I'm also inclined to think that Fistuk is not used to having so much food and it takes energy for him to digest it all, that is on top of the BG fluctuations that can't be easy. I'm not ruling out other possibilities but I'm willing to entertain my observations, knowing Fistuk has always been a very laid back cat who likes to indulge in the pleasure of doing nothing

I really hopeto see some positive shift soon. The constant stress is tough. Each time I feel there's a good trend a worrying shift follows.
It was a challenge to give SQ. He resists it again. I also hurt him, perhaps hit a capilary. It breaks my heart. He was screaming with the insulin shot as well. I'm sure the stress of it is not helpful.
Just needed to ket it out xx
