Tuffy is just Tuffy. They are still all very quiet since the loss of Ton. Tuffy's numbers are bizarre to say the least but that is just Tuffy. Just watching the numbers and sighing. I am convinced Tuffy is not normal in many ways including the sugar dance.

Maybe she is balancing her act.

Been a rough few weeks around here. Hot, Hot and more hot, sweaty bean and horses. Seems all I do is shower and hose horses. Monday, I came home and got in the shower clothed. It was easier to get sweaty clothes off soaked than just sticking to me.

DGS competed in US Nationals (swimming) and did very well. Yes, I'm a proud Mom-Mom. He works so hard swims 10 miles a day twice a day 364 days of the year. He is off on Christmas.

Back later to visit condos. Going to lunch with a horsey friend.

Thoughts to Rocket and all the other kitties and beans that are a little under the weather. Cooling off vines to all of us that are enduring this hot weather.

Still Barb these are normal numbers..Maybe she is stressed by the loss of Ton, or it has upset her..
Hope she comes down to your liking, But Tuffy does more drops than any cat can imagine!
Hope she stabilizes--My heartfely sympathy on your loss-Ton was a well cared for, loved kitty--
I feel your loss...Big Hugs from us..

Hi Barbara & Tuffy,
Yes, it is true that animals need to have time to mourn their beloved companions. We all grieve with you and your gang on the passing of Ton.
I hope that your weather cools off soon. The horses must really feel it. Nice work taking a shower with your clothes on. My DH, when he was single, once decided to wash his sheets while he was taking a bath. He climbed into the tub with the sheets and the laundry detergent!! (Never did that again!!!)

Think cool, stay cool,
Hugs,

Ella & Rusty

I'm so sorry about Ton and the grieve you are having to endure. Hugs for you my dear.

So cool about your DGS. I was one of those crazy year around swimmers and still get jazzed watching the swim meets on TV. Dang, that means I missed yesterday's events on TV...perhaps I can catch them today. Just read they are on NBC today at 4:00pm CST. What events did he swim? Did get some best times in his events? Just thinking about

And I'm glad someone else has a kitty with some higher premeal numbers and then having the drops. Curry has been doing the same thing, but I'm needing to make sure we have play time help her muscles utilize the insulin better in her body to bring the numbers down.

Stay cool and know that we are thinking about you.

hugs,
tena

YAY! A Tuffy condo! And yep, Tuffy is being Tuffy... normal stuff for her. :-D She always brings the numbers back down. Good job Tuffy!  Fell better vines sent for those that still mourn Ton. It's hard on the kitties too.

I too hope for relief for all of you in all that heat. It has to be oppressive....

I am with tena - love the swimming stuff... takes me back to the days of shuffling my kids 24/7 to workouts 364 days a year... good times.

and Tena - in case barb doesn't get back. peter did very well - best times in the 400IM, and the 200IM. He also raced the 200FR and the 200BFly.

have a great day Barbara - it is always nice to rad about Tuffy!

I think what you need to do is never test Tuffy in the AM. Always wait until +4 to test so you'll just see the nice numbers. It's not cheating, she's OTJ so you can test whenever you want!

Count me in with those who love swimming. I used to swim competitively when I was a kid and up until 9th grade. I was terrible at it, but I loved every minute of it. I quit in high school because the team at my high school was pretty serious and didn't seem to appreciate someone who loved the sport but was bad.

Glad Tuffy is still doing well, even if she does persist at keeping you wondering. She wouldn't be Tuffy otherwise.

Hope you enjoyed your lunch out, Barbara.

Thanks to all for visiting and your sympathy. There may be a break in the mood around here. 2 went into the living room this afternoon and sat and looked out the window. Ton's favorite spot. I still hear him talking to me when I come home sometimes.

I'm glad Peter (DGS) had a good meet and hope my son's swimmers do well at Jr. Natl's. this week. Peter has been in NCAA's all three years he has been in college and made Olympic Trial cuts for 2012. He works very hard at his sport. Tough sport just a clock and water.

Only went to 99 here today, that is better than 103.

Hope the DKA kittie is doing well and positive vines for Rocket, Moonie, and all the other kitties and beans that need them.

Good to see so many kitties doing well. Mannie had a great day. I guess I still test Tuffy too much cause I still can't believe she is OTJ. Thanks FDMB - LL.
