08/05 Tansi PMBG 111 Remission Over?

Hello everyone
This is my first time posting in this group. Tansi went into remission a few weeks ago. His numbers are getting higher every day.
Does it look to you that he is leaving remission?
If so, at what point do I consider starting insulin again?
Nothing has changed recently, no infections, no changes in the house.
I really appreciate any advice.
Thanks

He’s definitely trending him up. Can you test him in the morning before feeding, feed him, and retest in three hours to see if his pancreas is bringing his BG down? Same thing at night. If you don’t stay up three hours after he eats, you could test him three hours before his evening meal, feed him, and then test him before his evening meal.

If you do this on Fri and we see his pancreas isn’t dropping the BG in response to food, it’s time to give him a little insulin support so we can get him back into remission ASAP. That would mean restarting some insulin in Sat if you are on board.

Could you please move the US SS to the far left so it’s the default when we open the SS? Just click and drag the US tab to the left. Thanks so much.

I am so sorry but I am completely inept with the spreadsheet and only have my phone. What is the US tab?
Yes I can absolutely test three hours after feeding am and pm. I have done that a couple of times yesterday and today. What do you think of those numbers?
Maybe they are useless, am I supposed to prevent him from eating during those three hours after his meal?
Ready on Saturday if necessary.
Thanks a million

When you look at his SS, you’ll see two tabs at the bottom. One says “World” and the other says “US”. When you enter a BG on the world tab, it converts it to mg/dL on the US tab and that’s the one we use. So, from within google drive, just click on the US tab and drag it to the left. Let me know if you need help.

So the BGs you’ve gotten, you tested, fed, and then tested three hours later?

I fasted 2 hours, then tested, then fed, left food out that he may or may not have eaten, then tested again.
Lol, even reading this I am pretty sure snacks were a bad idea in between.

And two hours isn’t enough time. It has to be test, feed a tsp or so of low carb food, test three hours later. No snack after you feed after the test and for the next three hours. Try again tomorrow and we will talk about an insulin dose for Sat if he doesn’t drop down.

Thanks so much for fixing the subject.
