Ben saw Dr Karma today. He has a few bad teeth but the rest of his mouth looks ok.
She was concerned with his menace response, not blinking when finger comes toward eye. His pupils were working properly to the light. Tonight at home with low light I checked his menace response and he did flinch his eye when my finger came close, not moving air, not touching whiskers. I have noticed his near vision seems off. But, he is not stumbling around, jumps to his favorite places fine. I suppose I could get him fitted for glasses like my new octagon glasses
Another of my concerns has been he seems to be sorta hump back from waist to where tail starts. She checked and he seems to have some pain in his hips. She prescribed Adequan 1X/week for four weeks, then 1X/month. I got the first month supply. $16.80 for 4 syringes with pre-filled dose. He is jumping to his 2 story cat tree one story at a time.
They sent his blood for a SUPERCHEM w/ CBC as they can not do it inhouse. It was late today and missed the p/u so it will be Saturday or Monday for results. I am ok with the time as he seems his normal self.
The Lyft ride to and from cost $55 +
exam $35, bloodwork $75, meds $16.80 = $126.80
TOTAL = $181.80
