Squallie only got 0.25 U of insulin this morning, he was too low for his full dose, with not able to rely on him eating. Of course, he wouldn't eat any of the foods I tried, even the YA, which really surprised me. So I broke open the Dr. Elsey's and tried that - he ate almost 1/2 cup! It raised his BG a good bit, but I can live with that, as long as he's eating something! Haven't seen any more poop, but as long as he's eating and not throwing up, I'm going under the assumption, for the moment, that he's not constipated. He is also no longer dehydrated, thankfully!

Looking for poop in the LB is a frequent activity at my house. Hope he'll keep it moving.

When is the US?
Thanks, Bobbie! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

US is Thursday. It's one of those drop-off-in-the-morning-and-we'll-get-around-to-him-sometime-during-the-day deals, I hate that. He doesn't need all that added stress, poor guy. I had to leave one of my civvies there for an echo a couple of years ago and he was NOT a happy cat when I picked him up, so I'm already dubious about the treatment they receive there; I only give them the benefit of the doubt because he is extremely stressed by anything new, people, places, etc, and being separated from Mama is a huge crisis for him. Hopefully it will go better for Squallie. He's the easiest cat in the world to work with, so they'd better treat him like it!

I had to do the same deal with my dog and Bubba for an US once and it was horrid! My vet says because the US came to them they didn't know exactly when he would arrive. And they wanted the animals all waiting for him. :(

Hope you get good news and the day won't be too long for Sqallie.
