Hey Everyone!

We've been away from the boards for a week or so due to illness, exhaustion and long weekend, but we're back and everything is going great! Happy Civic Day to all my fellow Canadians, I'm spending BC day baking a cake and cleaning bathrooms (in that order- not at the same time! )

Max is fantastic. He had a super low pre-shot a few days ago, and so we backed him off to a 1.0u dose, and are running with it since his levels haven't raised. On top of that, he's super low today!

I'll be checking in more often, and thank-you all for your help, advice and general awesomeness.

Holly

Re: 08/02 Max AMPS 106 +4 61

Hey Holly! Just wanted to stop in and say "hi!" since I didn't see you last week. I hope you're all well at your house again!

I'm glad to see Max is doing well too. It looks like he's doing fine, but I want to caution on changing the dose according to the ps number. A green ps is actually fine, but you do have to watch what happens following it--i.e. you want to test again in 30-60 minutes if you can to make sure the number is going up and not down so there isn't a crash. But green ps numbers are actually what you're looking for. Most of his blues haven't been that high, but just 3 days ago he had mid-cycle numbers over 150...and that's moving into the high range. Normal bg levels for a cat range between 80 and 150, and that's where you want to aim. Figuring out the dose that will help him surf in the 70s/80s/90s will help his pancreas heal the most.
