She finally cleared that bounce from yesterday morning. I've noticed when she bounces now, she seems really antsy, like she can't sit still when I'm trying to test her. I figured she was lower this morning because she sat perfectly still for me. She was such a good girl. I'm guessing she's not used to the higher numbers now and doesn't feel as good.

It's a good sign that Furball is loving the feel of the lower bg. Come down Furball!

Hello Carla

Good to see that bounce clearing out of Furballs' system. I find what you noticed about her sitting still at better numbers very interesting!! I wonder how much instinctive "knowledge" our sugar kitties have about what's going on with them - often I think it's far more than we'll ever know. Back in 2008, when Karre first went OTJ, a few days before we stopped the insulin injections he started squirming away from the needle... Jill even asked us whether that was happening as she'd seen it before in pre-OTJ kitties. And the past 2 days, Karre has been trying to wriggle away from the shots again... Hence our OTJ-trial plans. Amazing.

Hope you have a good day!
Jane

Hi guys .. I'm glad furball is getting more comfortable in the lower numbers .. and I have to agree with Jane .. when mocha was getting some really nice numbers, before her OTJ trial, she was doing the same thing .. and man oh man was she ever talking up a storm! Shes a talker anyways but this was way more then normal and I was also told that can be a sign of good things to come :-D have a great day!

Another bounce for Furball. I could tell she was high again because she was squirming around at test time. I think I'm going to have to start leaving some extra food out on the days when she is in the low 200s at test time. It seems she is dropping lower than she has in the past and then bouncing. If she had some food available maybe she wouldn't bounce so high. Hopefully the other cats won't eat all of it.
