Insulin dose: 0.75u
No ket numbers waiting for strips to arrive soon

I think 275@+11 was a temporary rise as she was eating wet food w/ carb(1 tbsp mashed carrots n sweet potato) at the time

idk what’s going on with her bg today..I checked with the other glucometer and the numbers are similar.

her bg was 275 an hour before the insulin time and was down to 187 at preshot as well. She’s eating well and seems fine though

I gave 0.75u. The only time I gave 1u recently is AM of 7/31

It sucks that I’m unable to keep track of her ketones atm that could’ve told us more about what’s going on. The remaining strips I had turned out to be defective I ordered a new one

she’s been eating well and isn’t vomiting (she regurgitates food when her bg/ketones are high) but she’s hiding all day so I’m a bit worried :/ I might have to give 1u at the next insulin time if her bg remains high

Lantus dosing is based on nadirs - how low a dose takes the cat. She dropped to 43 last night, so I would not increase to 1U yet. She is bouncing from those lows and not too high at that. While ketones are a worry, you don't want to over dose and have to deal with hypoglycemia either!
 
Bg 225@+7.3 (tested after given 120ml SQ)

Hasn’t gone up but not coming down as usual either, her nadir is usually under 100 at this time
 
He is bouncing from the drop below 50 last night. Numbers are flat and on the higher side when bouncing. Take a break till AMPS. He will recover. His numbers are not high for a bounce.

I didn’t know that, thank you sm for telling me! she’s not hiding anymore and is eating well now :3
