I left right at U time. Someone is home with him they just refuse to do testing but he will get his lunch food at +5.Hi Dena,
Are you leaving right away? Any chance you can get a +1 before you leave?
Does he have food for the rest of the day?
Thanks Bhooma. Here’s hoping for a nice calm +4 as wellLooking good, Dena!
Feed him a little of his FF and think you should be good.@Bandit's Mom time for me to sleep soon or should I try for another at +5? It’s 11pm here now but I’ll prob be in bed awake if needed??

By the way, that's another reduction for him! Go down to 0.25U tomorrow morning. He is doing great!![]()
Yes, its a really tiny dose and the fun part is that the dose after that is 0.10U!Any suggestions on doing .25 Our needles only measure by .5 and I can barely even see that lol

Do you use magnifiers? I have started using the zoom function of my smartphone camera. It's really powerful
I don’t think you did. I will be sure to check but what do you do if it’s off? How do you get accurate dose? Also, I think I've said this before, so apologies for repeating it, if I have - when you first use a syringe, push the plunger all the way in to see if it lines up with the printed zero line. A lot of syringes have their markings way off and that affects the accuracy of the dose. Especially with smaller doses every little bit matters.
.1 is scary lol thanks for the photos though it really helps.
You have to adjust the dose accordingly. For e.g., if you have +0.25U above the zero (with the needle facing up), you would measure 0.25 less.I don’t think you did. I will be sure to check but what do you do if it’s off? How do you get accurate dose?
So you check each new needle because they could be wonky at any time right. The needles we have suckYou have to adjust the dose accordingly. For e.g., if you have +0.25U above the zero (with the needle facing up), you would measure 0.25 less.
A lot of us use callipers to measure the dose but hopefully Juggie will not need insulin for very long. Knock on wood!
Yup. Which brand do you use?So you check each new needle because they could be wonky at any time right.
They are called BD insulin syringes. They were the only ones the pharmacy had in the right size with the .5 markingsYup. Which brand do you use?
