Today will be day 3 on Lantus. I'm guessing this is a normal, or close to "normal" for a cat who's on Lantus for the first time? At least the #'s not red (knocking on wood). I have about 2-4 more days for this to settle, if I remember correctly. Then, we begin either increasing or decreasing according to the nadirs (going to be a challenge to remember that LOL).
 
311 @ +3 Looking good, so far. :) I've started to notice her personality changing for the better since she's been on it. She appears to be feeling a bit better with each day of use.

I'm glad to hear that Blackie is feeling better with the switch to Lantus. Tinkles is too. I hope her numbers start to show the effect soon! Those pinks beat reds anyday though! ;-)
 
Great job, Angela! I am so happy to see this insulin is working for Blackie :-)
Pray it starts working well for Samantha, too, please. She is 24 hours ahead of Blackie on it.
Sam threw a 'hi' on the meter this AM - did an immediate recheck and got a 597 *sigh*

Mary, I hope Samantha's numbers start to come down soon! I always hated seeing that HI on the meter, yuck!
 
Nice to see that yellow peaking through!

Just an FYI - you don't need to wait 15 min. or so after Blackie eats to shoot. Many of us feed while our kitties have their face in their bowl. Lantus onset isn't until approx. +2 or +3.
