Nice AMPS this morning! Are you finally gtting a break from the heat/humidity? I was in PA July 15-20 and could not believe the heat. No A/C in my Mom's house either. I could not wait to get back on the west coast. Our turn will come though!

It was +1, and I had just tested J.D. (249) and decided I was going to put out frozen FF and set the timed feeder just like I do when I go to work (rather than meal feeding like I usually do when I have the day off). Ginger had taken an exceptionally long time in the ladies room, and when she came up the stairs, she seemed hungry.. and I offered her her 2nd breakfast. She sniffed it, and then quickly ran to her box, jumped on top, and proceeded to groom her fanny, and then she mouned (sp?) loudly, jumped off the box, and threw up her 1st breakfast. I sequestered her in the bathroom (tile floor) with a bowl of dry food. J.D. followed us in, but I pushed him out the door. When I went to check on her, she had only eaten 1/2 the food. I put her outside to see if she wanted to eat some grass, and she started dragging her fanny on the cement. I lifted her up to check under her tail (I won't describe what I saw, but it was now flattened) and she screamed because she knew what was going to happen next. I started the warm water in the sink and grabbed a towel and washed her nether regions in the sink while she screamed bloody murder and dug her talons into me, and J.D. meowed and meowed at my feet wondering what the heck was going on with his sister.
All is calm now. Ginger has forgiven me, and is currently under her favorite bush, and J.D. has given up trying to find that dry food Ginger left in her bowl and is currently licking on the frozen FF.
All is back to right.

Hi Ann. Yes, it is a beautiful morning. And I think it was something like 59 degrees last night :mrgreen: so all windows were opened and AC turned off for once. This heat has been horrible. I'm from the west coast and do not appreciate the summers here. J.D. and I will be spending 2 weeks in California at the end of August. Usually, I plan the trip in the middle of August just to get away from the east coast summer for awhile. It's supposed to be in the high 50s and low 60s at night all weekAnn and Maggie11 said:

Nice start to JD's day, but not so much for poor Ginger! You know they hate it when they get those cling-ons, but not sure what they hate more, the cling-ons or the bath to remove them.
As far as the weather..good gosh it is hot! Thank goodness for central a/c & a swimming pool! I don't think it was cool enough here to turn off the a/c and open the windows, tho, at least for me!

I'm glad your heat has lifted! August in California should be beautiful weather. Do you take J.D. on the plane? I am in San Diego, and right now the weather is beautiful. I find myself looking forward to a cloudy here. We had a thunder storm and some nice showers when I was visiting PA, and I loved it!

Oh, I do love the thunder and lightning, and snow blizzards, tornadoes and hurricanes.. it is better than 70s everyday with blue skies, bright yellow sun and white puffy clouds, oh, and beautiful sunsets every single day..boring!Ann and Maggie11 said:

When I saw the 391, I wondered where that came from :sad: My first reaction was to give him R, so I did, because I hate to see him that high. But then in the back of my mind, I always worry that it will affect his AMPS tomorrow as it so often does the next day, when I have to go to work. Anyway, what's done is done. I gave him what I call 0.05 which is with just a touch of the zero line showing above the plunger. I tested again 15 minutes later, just to make sure the 391 wasn't an error, and he was 349.
Now he's 403 :roll: I thought Ginger ate the rest of her dry food, but I guess there's a chance that J.D. did. Who knows.
Off to the pool until PMPS..exit stage right...

What the heck are you up to JD? You started off so good and look where you are now. Fess up did you get into the contraband dry food? Was it really worth it? I sure hope he comes down some for you Dyana.
