So , the 115 is @+1 after test, feeding and shooting. Get another test one hour from now with out food and let's make sure that SK is not going back down after the food spike wears off and post.
A consideration for you Sebastian.I think seeing how SK responds to the 1 unit will be some of the decision-making. I can't say for sure what dose I would suggest, but just to toss it out there something like 1.5 units perhaps. The dose needs to get SK into good numbers but not drop him like a rock.
That will depend on how badly SK bounces...although he certainly cleared the bounce from this morning...even with a NS last night. As well it depends on whether Sebastian is available to monitor all day in the event that SK does another major drop like this morning. Again only my own personal opinion, but for myself after over 1 1/2 years I would not have shot the PMPS number and would have been hesitant about the +1 number with using a AT2 meter. With my kitty, who I test very often and know his patterns, I probably would have shot 1/2 of his regular dose...but he is on 6 units right now, so that would be a substantial cut-back for him. Seeing the MAJOR drop from AMPS to PMPS after a NS is scary, because we have no idea how low SK might have gone during the day.
I told you all, just a pipe that got jammed and it's not letting fluid goA consideration for you Sebastian.
''problem'' is that it looked has a up and down cycle needing to be stopped. Another skip and the same thing as
this morning would have happened. That's why I went on with the haft dose. In the hope of flatting up the curve.
Think it might be lucrative in stabilizing the depot. There will not that much left in there soon.
Why don't you hold off one more hour to make sure he doesn't drop with the onset of the insulin as you don't want to fill him up in case you need him to eat should you have to steer him. He's going well, progressing slowly. now 131 2h after his delayed shot.
Should I gave the usual feeding they usually receive at this time ? I've put it aside for now.

Good evening to both of you, all of you. Dream of anything but Small Kitty
We're doing fine, I'll take care of things like a... pretty good care taker![]()
Okay, as long as you are okay. If he is still going up or holding @5 or +6, you should be good. I will look for your post tomorrow AM Oh and good job shooting a green number!!!!!
If you are going to be around Mary Ann, I will sign off, as 5:30 AM comes early. If SK was in lower numbers, I would not leave. This is so exciting seeing him start to get into green numbers.I will still be checking in for the next few hours and I am sure Bobbie and a few others will too. We all want to make sure SK and you are doing ok.![]()

Assuming that he doesn't go low again tonight, I'd return to the 2.0u dose in the morning. I see your point, Mary Ann, but I think the depot from the 2.5u could definitely have still been at play today. Today's cycle has every appearance of a bounce-clearing cycle to me. He was rising by pmps last night and just kept going up til this morning.
According to today's numbers for those following SLGS, however, he only earned a 0.25u decrease.
It's up to you, Sebastien.
Just saw your post about him being hungry. It can help a kitty surf along in normal numbers if you dole out 2 bites of his regular low carb food each hour. I'd go ahead and give him just a little bit.

The 2.0u would be 0.5u less than he got yesterday morning, so even dropping to 2.0u is a significant decrease (20%) in the amount of insulin.
As you can see, Sebastien, sometimes things aren't clear-cut. In your case, there were many times when SK's dose was increased without having a curve done, so I totally understand what Mary Ann is thinking. These are things for you to consider.
Sebastian should have taken a reduction on July 11 according to the SLGS approach, but missed it. He was just starting the reduction this morning after skipping the shot last night, then SK took a nose dive today. SK is certainly keeping everyone on their toes.
Sebastian when are you planning on being away for a week..is that coming up soon?
146 at +3, he's fine.
I'm leaving next week-end, so the dose I'll chose will need to be more reddish then greenish.![]()
You're right Julie, that's almost TR protocol action. Small Kitty seems to have decided just NOW that he was to2.0u is a significant decrease (20%) in the amount of insulin.
