Yesterday’s post. Another bouncy day. I hope this dose of 1.75 units brings greens but I don’t have my hopes high as we’re on 4th cycle and still no greens. The 2.00 units seems to bring kitten too low at nadir. If Kitten was on 2.00 units and I have gave medium carbs at her +5 snack would it make it so her nadir surfs at a reasonable number and not <50? Thoughts? I will be patient with this reduction since she may be clearing her bounce but I wondered if I could use food to help create a safer surf on the 2.00 units as it seems to have done better for her BG.

What you are suggesting, using food to control the curve is one of the things I did with Max and it can help keep them flat and more time in healing levels so they get used to tge and don’t bounce as much or as often. I think it’s worth a try.

If I don’t see greens tomorrow I’ll look to increase back to 2.00 and have med carb for +5 snack in the auto feeder. I’m guessing it worked well for Max? I just want those healing numbers back! :D

Just wanted to mention that if you do that, make sure you have the MC food available for all the cycles in case she drops low.
I would look to put the +5 AM/PM with med carb everyday, is that what you mean? I would need consistency in the auto feeder and not me giving extra snacks outside of that since I need to think about when I get back to work. I’m still working remotely so I can monitor for now but one day I’ll have to go back to the office :( (but rumour has it not until Fall or maybe next January).

I wouldn’t worry about when you go back to work until it gets a lot closer. With Max I fed according to each test. He was carb sensitive aNd would get a good bump so I’d start with lc. Onset was around
2.5 so still a lc snack then. Then I would feed a little lc or mc with each test depending upon the number. You will need to experiment to find what keeps her having a nice surf.
