I didn't realize I had to transition a litter box
. Got the new box, put some litter from the old box into new box and left the old one a couple feet away. He actually used the old box properly. I moved the newly used litter clump to the new box. Maybe he wants it in an open space rather than a space with 3 walls and open in the front (22" deep X 30" wide X 30" tall). IDK kiddies are hard to figure out at times. I'll leave the old one for a while to see if he does transition. Maybe dirty it up a bit so it smells just like the old one does.
