Zener's condo 7/12/11
Good morning all,
Zener's beans are home and he was very happy to see us. He slept in the bed last night until 3:30 and then demanded petting off and on until we normally get up. I think he is glad we are home, we sure are! Our pet sitter did a good job, but his BG was high and up and down while we were gone. Poor guy seems like he is always up and down, yesterday was a good example from 498 at PSAM to 90 at +6, totally freaking me out. This morning his PSAM was 233, lowest PSAM we have had since on lanus, I think. I am keeping everything crossed that he is more level today. nailbite_smile
07/13/11 Zener Alpha Trak
PSAM 233 1.75 u ate 1 oz of wet food immediately before and after shot
This will be Zener's 12th continuous cycle at 1.75 u, but we were away for much of this time, he ate primarily dry food for the sitter and his numbers weren't that great. I am assuming we should stay the course until we see some flattening of his curve, am I correct?
We noticed this morning while watching him walk in his back yard that he seems to not be up on his front paw tippy toes but more flat on his front paws. He has cerebellar hypoplasia so his walk has always been a bit different, but today it is noticeably different. He may have been like this yesterday when we got home, but we really noticed it watching him walk on unlevel surfaces outside. I wondered if this could be diabetic neuropathy and if ordering the type of B12 I've read about on this list might be helpful. Any advice would be appreciated and thanks!
