newly diagnosed cats have a good chance of going off of insulin if they get tightly controlled, ie, kept in normal non-diabetic cat blood sugar numbers. According to that PDF, the chance is more than 90%, but sooner is better than later. So following the TR protocol, we'd be trying to help you get Jake between 68-160. just wanted to throw that out there for you to consider. It's worth looking at the PDF - skip the parts that are too technical and just keep plugging away reading it!
