well what a day weve had!!! after him being all over the place the last couple of weeks. I did not expect that!!! but then with FD I always expect the unexpected

I gave him yoghurt and high carb food at +5 which raised him to 115 but then he went back down again an hour after to 103. hes raising now on his own without any food help.(remember im on alphatrak so the numbers a considerably lower)

im only going to lower to 6.25 as last time I think I panicked and lowered him far to quickly which probably didn't help his numbers being all over the place.
hes doing ok though in himself..i must point out that 4 days ago hes had antibiotic for an infection on his chin after over scratching.its all clearing up now so maybe that's had something to do with it.who knows! this FD is a strange disease and my boy is a strange boy so its a pretty lethal combination

nice to see you, anna!

there is a thing called "chin acne" that cats sometimes get. i don't have personal experience with it, but i've heard people say that using plastic dishes can aggravate it. the recommendation i've seen is stainless steel bowls or glass dishes.

great to see another reduction! i think going down 0.25u at a time is a good idea.

he has a stainless steel bowl anyway.itseems to be clearing up now thank goodness!
ive shot tonight at 149.eek! its 2am here so im going to sleep now and set my alarm for 3 hours later which is when the insulin starts to take a effect with bailey.ive got yoghurt at the ready just incase nailbite_smile but im sure we'll be fine.
hope your ok Julie. night for now!
