So far so good for this evening on a new dose. Only thing is I've been trying to slow down his drop by feeding at +2 and at +3 but he's still going strong with big leaps from hour to hour. I just hope his liver won't go into alert before he hits at least a blue number and stays there for a couple of hours.
Any tips on the way that I've been feeding this evening? Please see the notes on his SS.

Nice to see Zorro got to Blue! I don't think you need to feed high carbs when his BG is already high. Just his regular low carb food will do.
(You need to be careful with the food & snacks so he doesn't gain back the weight he lost.)

Hope he gets down to blue again today on this dose. Good job!

@AliceMeowliss&Cassandra @Sonia & Leo :bighug:
When the mood is light it is silly o' clock but when things are harder it is known as stupid o' clock ;)

Hope you had/are having a lovely day too, Sonia. It is already 7:30pm here in South Africa :)

@JoyBee&Ravan thank you for checking in on us and for the feeding tip :)
Unfortunately the 9.4% carb food is our LC... We don't get Purina FF in SA at all anymore and imported alternatives like Weruva are very pricey - although I do get it occasionally, like I did today.
And Zorro did see blue again today! :cool:
Hope you and Ravan are both doing well :bighug:

@AliceMeowliss&Cassandra I think it will be difficult. The Customer Liaison person from the company who used to import Purina told me that our government had made some changes with regard to import regulations and it was not worthwhile for them to import anymore. I also checked on Amazon and all the Fancy Feast items say "Does not ship to your country".

Thank you for caring so much :bighug: We'll be fine though. 9.4% carbs isn't terrible and Zorro's insulin will just be adjusted accordingly. He eats mostly raw anyway and the carb foods are mixed in mostly to add some carbs and a bit of flavour.

I was wondering more like if anything could be shipped as a gift one of these days! :) but I understand.

Of course mathematically, 9% + 0% ratio 1:1 equals a nice 4.5% anyway. So however you are mixing that with your other stuff it sounds like it works out. :)

@AliceMeowliss&Cassandra Aaah that is so kind of you to even think like that! :) But please no, you have your own hands full and I'm certain, more than enough expenses with little Alice.
Lol, I hope I wasn't sounding as if I'm moaning about food costs all the time. I was just wanting to explain why I buy 9.4% carb food (for four cats) as opposed to the proper LC that many people on here use. It is mainly a question of availability.

Thank you for the maths, by the way :) I never even thought about it like that and now I feel quite good about my "mix" :joyful:
