Tagging @Marje and Gracie to look at bloodwork (on labs tab on SS). The original is linked in the cell head (07/05/17 IDEXX box).

Summary
RBC 6.67 (down from 7.29) - range 7.12 - 11.46 M/μL *this is the one Dr. P is concerned about*
BUN 44 (down from 51) range 16 - 37 mg/dL
Creatinine 3.1 (down from 3.3) range 0.9 - 2.5 mg/dL
BUN:Creatinine Ratio 14.2 (down from 15.5)
Phosphorus 4.9 (down from 5.0) range 2.9 - 6.3 mg/dL
Potassium 3.5 (unchanged) range 3.7 - 5.2 mmol/L
Na:K Ratio 44 (up from 43) range 29 - 42
Spec fPL 4.6 (up from 3.8) range 0.0 - 3.5 ug/L

And @Bronx's dad is asking
Do you know what the difference is between an Spec fPL test & a Precision pSL test?

Hoping everyone has a good day.

@LizzieInTexas

I'm sorry, dear....I've had to be off the board a few days and today is my birthday! I'm headed out with some friends but will be back later and will look at the labs tonight if that is ok.

It's always fine to also PM me as I get those notifications fast via my email and then I can pop on sooner to help you with the labs.

Enjoy your birthday with friends :bighug:

Please don't worry about it at all. I knew you would get to them when you could.

Thank you.....I'll have some quiet time tonight after I get back and before Mike gets home so I'll be able to look at it for you.

Thanks for your patience. :kiss::bighug::bighug:

He looks really stable although I'd like to see that potassium up a bit if he were mine.

His RBCs are a little odd because his hematocrit is really good. It is dropping but it is still well above 30%. You would normally expect to see a lower HCT and a cat tending towards anemia if the RBCs are lower. Was there any remark about the sample being hemolyzed?

What is also interesting is that he does have CKD but he's really concentrating his urine very nicely.

Thank you!! :bighug: No notes that I can see.

If you go to the header cell (where is says "07/05/17 IDEXX Preventative Care Feline fPL") I have the actual lab report hot linked. Here is the link to the the actual lab report:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1cD6gcp78I7VVB2MG8wYU0yUTg/view

It is nice because it shows the current bw along with the previous two all on that report.

As for the Potassium - he just won't eat any food with it in it. I have tried two different brands (one human, one vet). When his is flaring with panc - I have enough issues keeping him eating. I even tried 1/4 dose mixed into all the 4 meals/snacks for the cycle and he won't eat it. :banghead: He does like the gel - but it has sugar in it (of course) :rolleyes:

The physical exam report was in the 07/05 condo but nothing to report (he has actually gained almost a pound 12.2#'s up from 11.4#). Overall I am pretty pleased with how he is doing. I did start him on Adequan. He has had two injections so far and his hind legs seem to not be as sensitive.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday and I truly appreciate you taking the time to look at his lab work. :):bighug:
