Good morning!
AMPS 290 shooting 3.5u

Boomer ate ok last night and got me out of bed around midnight to stir his food.

Today on the agenda: currently waiting for the predicted "partially sunny" conditions to materialize! If they do, I'll go out for a while but DH wants to go to Costco later this morning and wants me to go too because we have a rebate cheque that is in my name. This will only happen if Boomer approves (of course).

A couple of weeks ago I was at Saunders Pond and came across a large Snapping Turtle on one of the paved paths. Photo attached. I've been told they only come out of the pond to lay eggs then they go back to the pond; this one was headed towards the pond so I'm assuming she may have laid eggs somewhere. A friend of mine came across two Snapping Turtles the following day and they were both laying eggs!

Boomer will allow you to go if you bring him back something.

Those turtles look so innocent, but they are feisty creatures.
I was reading about them last night! Apparently the reason they "snap" is because they do not have the ability of withdrawing into their shells for protection....so the snap is to scare predators away.

Love the photo of the Turtle! When my boys were young ( 6 & 8 yrs old) they came home with a very large turtle from a nearby pond They were on their bikes & had it somehow on the handle bar!!
No, I told them, I wouldn't let them keep it. We brought it back to the pond!:joyful:

Have a nice evening Judy.
