07/02 Tuffy update

[Barbara and tuffy]

Morning LL: Tuffy is fine. She is stressed because I had a stray show up last week and at 4:30 a.m. he is at the patio doors asking for food. Initially he came about 9 p.m. but has now decided breakfast is good too. Tuffy does not want him anywhere around. I put poster board on the french doors to block her view and she took it down. Hopefully on Tuesday, I'll capture the invader and take him to the vet for check-up and shots. Neuter is next, spraying male. Need to find a home for him after he is fixed up. He is a cute little guy. Guess he is one of those "left behind" when the family lost their home. So many animals here that need homes, can't take to shelter that would be a death sentence.

Numbers are good. 100 this a.m. Yesterday 116 ambg, +4 56. That's my Tuffy. Hope all have a great day, off to do barn chores in rainy weather. BBL

I have an intruder too, but he belongs to a neighbour and it's all S&N! Drives me boys crazy! I like the idea of the board, but it would have to be a permanent fixture! :roll:

Nice to hear Tuffy is doing so well... Hope you find a home for the newcomer... Sounds like Tuffy wants that home to be far away from her home!!!

poor tuffy .. I would be stressed to if I had an intruder coming around to my house too! Thanks for taking care of the little guy till you find him a new home!

We have an intruder too - cute young non-neutered male. Knows when chow is served, shoes up everyday. Mannie will have nothing to do with him - just has a fit, chases the little guy all over the yard until he leaves Mannie's turf. Mine would remove the board too - that is their view. :lol:

Maybe the poster board would stay up on the outside of the door unless there is rain....I had to laugh when you said she took it down.

That is so nice of you Barb to plan on taking that lil guy to the vet. Life in the wild is not so nice in the end, right? Very generous and considerate of you... HUGS to you...great to see you! :mrgreen:

Tuffy is pretty tough & a carpenter too--unbuilding the poster board. Very cute we can just see her doing it too. So glad you are caring for the stray. He is so smart to pick your house too. My mother told me that during the depression, the vagabonds would mark the mailboxes of the homes of kind-hearted women so the next one along would know a meal was in store. I think the kitties have the same system going today!
