07/02 KAIA hitting pretty low pre shot is 101

@FrostD Kaia has been hitting some pretty low number (56..58) I haven't updated her spreadsheet as it's easier to do at a computer and I've been away.
She usually stays high, why so low out of nowhere? Is the ProZinc finally working? I hate low number more than I hate high numbers! Even after DKA
 
I gave her 1 and 1/2 unit. She was 101 at 6:42pm, I fed her then she was 208 at 7:23 (gave her insulin at 7:40) now she's at 329 at 8:05!! Ugh!!! Help
 
Sorry I wasn't around earlier. Shes been having some great numbers!

What is your plan now that you're back? Are you going to go back to trying a single consistent dose? Or did you want to try to keep more of a sliding scale until you settle back in?

At minimum, definitely reduce by 0.25U - but I am thinking reduce by 0.5U because that was pretty low. If you want to keep a sliding scale, I'll need to rework it a bit.

She bounced from the lows overnight, that's what you're seeing now. Usually we say stall without feeding, retest in 20. But the rise to 208 was much more than a food bump so good call on shooting.

I think I'll stick to the sliding scale, seems to be working better. Her +4 today was 120 so it may have dropped lower? I wasn't home today (my sister had to put down her sweet kitty) so I was shocked to see it still in the low 100s.
What do you think?
 
Let me know once.you have a chance to get SS updated and I can take a look to see what we should try. So sorry for your sister :bighug:
