Sneaky Jackson! He’s so good at pilfering forbidden treatsYesterday
He got into a bagel again in the middle of the night, that I forgot I had out to thaw. I need to thaw them in the frig, not the counter.
Yeah.. I moved the garbage out from under the sink for the time being as there is no food in it currently, but he knocks it over at least once a day to see what's in there.Sneaky Jackson! He’s so good at pilfering forbidden treats![]()
Maybe. Or, I just put it into the cupboard where I keep his cans of food, to thaw out the bagel. I'm really not much of a bread eater but someone once gave me some bread with some cheese in it and I googled and found Asiago bagels so that's what I buy. When he steals them from my plate, it's probably the butter that attracks him? When he steals a whole bagel from the kitchen counter it may be the cheese he likes because when I find them the top of the bagel has bites out of it.I spent a couple mins this morning googling “Why do cats steal bread?” and found that it is so common for cats to steal bread, specifically bagels. I can’t imagine what makes a bagel so appealing to a cat? Maybe he likes the yeasts? Or salt? Or maybe it’s just an easy thing for him to steal.
Maybe a bread box could help?
Smart boy! He’s determined to have that bagel. I hope you figure out a way to store stuff in a Jackson safe way - maybe microwaves like Wendy suggested since Jackson would have to grow thumbs for that one!Yeah..
