This is the first time I have ever had a curve for Jaxon. Figured since I was tracking close for the first couple days, this was a good time to do it. I am still not sure that I am actually delivering any insulin to my boy, that small a dose is damned hard to actually measure even with the 0.5 unit markings on these syringes (0.3cc U-100 needles).

It does look like he's getting insulin. Cats can react strongly even to small changes in dose like 0.25U.
It takes the Lantus depot a week to build.

Btw, was he on a different insulin before Lantus?

No he has never been on any insulin before now. Thank you, that is good to know because I could not readily tell
