I got her to eat 1 teaspoon of baby food, but she didn't want the second teaspoon. I wish the vet opened earlier.

Sorry to hear Furball isn't feeling good. Sending healing vines for her and Hugs for you.
Hoping your Vet. visit goes well. The waiting is awful when you have a sick kitty.

Lots of light, prayers and vines for Furball. Carla, we are all sending wishes that Furball gets her happy purry self back soon.

The vet seemed to think she just has a GI upset. He said I could give an appy stimulant, but didn't recommend it. He said to keep giving the Cerenia as needed and give Fortiflora since she had diarrhea this morning. He said I could do bloodwork if I wanted just to see, but I didn't think it was necessary right now. I can call and request more Cerenia and an appy stimulant if I decide I need it. I hope she eats better today and gets over whatever is going on. It has been very stressful lately, so she could be picking up on that. Thanks for the prayers and vines.

I really think it would be good to try cerenia for 3-5 days as it can help with nausea, inflammation, and pain. Continuous use for 3-5 days can stop the cycle. Otherwise the nausea won't entirely go away and drag this out longer if I am right. Is there a reason why you don't want to do this? I agree an appy stimulant is a bad idea if there's any chance of nausea as it can cause food aversions.

Aw, I'm sorry Furball isn't feeling well again. I wonder if she has joined the p-titis club - they do pick up on stress and feel sadness so maybe Callie's passing could have caused a flare-up. I would also use the cerenia to try and break the cycle. My vetty's advice is to continue using meds for several days after symptoms resolve.

More prayers for Furball.

I agree with Amy. Tiffany's illness and her loss is when Max got pancreatitis.

Morning Carla :coffee::coffee::coffee:

I am so sorry that Furball isn't feeling well. I too agree with Amy. I would administer the meds well past the end of symptoms. Cerenia should really help, it did wonders for Mannie when he had GI issues. Many feel better vines for Furball, hugs to you.

I hope your day goes well.

Sending feel-better vines for Furball. And I'm sad to hear of Callie's passing. Fly free, sweet Callie. (((Hugs))) to you, Carla! :bighug:

Poor Furball and poor bean! Poo patrol will be on poo watch until firmer production appears.

We used a combination of Cerenia and ondansetron (for nausea) with Zener and it was helpful. We would do 5 days of Cerenia when he flared up and otherwise, we used it 3x per week, ondansetron twice daily about 15-30 minutes before ANPS and PMPS meals.

Paws crossed things improve soon. So stressful and especially while grieving.:bighug:

I have some Cerenia, so I didn't get any extra right now. I have enough to give it daily for 6 days.

Sorry I didn't get back on sooner. I had to help my mom with a project. We had to put shingles on the roof before it started raining. There was a leak. I didn't get to watch Furball as much as I wanted to this morning. I'm not sure if she ate any of the food I left out, but I just got her to eat another teaspoon of baby food. She has been eating her treats when I've tested and her eyes look better. I'll continue the Cerenia for a couple more days and see how she's doing. I can call and request more if I need it.

Thanks everyone for your concern and suggestions.

Sending lots of appy and feel better vines for Furball. And hugs for you Carla. :bighug: I hope you got the roof fixed.

Appy vines. I'm glad you are continuing cerenia. I use ondansetron more for Max because it has worked. Sorry about your roof. When it rains it pours, sometimes literally. :bighug: You have too many worries all at once. I hope Furball returns to normal quickly. When Tiffany was nauseous I didn't know it because she would eat treats too. They hide things too well.

Carla, I am so sorry Furball has not been well and not eating. It is such a worry when this happens.
I have just noticed you posted as I am writing this, that Furball ate all her dinner.....that is great!
I hope she continues to improve. Hugs to you...you have had a lot to deal with lately:bighug::bighug::bighug:
Get well and appy vines to Furball

I am sorry Furball hasn't been feeling well, but from the sounds of it, she is starting to feel better. Appy vines, I hope she feels better shortly.

{{Carla}}

I'm so sorry to hear Furball has been feeling poorly. It sounds like the Cerenia is helping her feel well enough to eat. That's great.

Sending lots of good appy and tummy vines and :bighug:

Hi Carla,
I'm very glad that Furball is eating and feeling better this evening. Her distress could very well have been from anxiety and sadness on losing Callie. Animals need to grieve, too. Many vines for continued improvement in Furball's appetite and her GI tract.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. Nice work on the roof!

Aw, too bad sweet little Furball wasn`t feeling well, but I`m relieved that she`s feeling better as the day went on. I`m sure she`s mourning the loss of Callie. Take care, Carla.

So glad the meds seem to be helping Furball. I agree that the loss of Callie is likely affecting her. :bighug: Hope you're doing ok and she continues to improve.
