Good morning,
Here's yesterday and I'm attaching Eddie's lab report which I rec'd yesterday as well.

In an email the IM vet wrote:
The main findings are:
Complete blood count: within normal limits
Biochemical profile:
BG normal range! Electrolytes in normal range!
Alb slightly elevated, in my opinion representing mild dehydration. Clinical Pathologist comes up with other explanation, but neither of us thinks there is pathology involved.
Creat 210 is very mild elevation, unclear if this is renal or pre-renal. I think the latter given the elevated Alb.

Over-all I'm impressed how beautiful these values look. Your are doing many things right with Eddie. That allows you to take some more time for yourself by decreasing the monitoring frequency of Eddie.
I recommend a recheck in 4-6 months, and that you contact Genevieve to decide if a CT is required or not.
No medication changes proposed

Eddie had some nice blues in the AM.:)

Oh, I just noticed you are in Kelowna. In August, Checkers will be spending a week with my sister in law in Kelowna while I am on vacation.

He loves the hot weather:cat:.

Do you happen to know if any vets there can apply Libre monitors on cats?

Yes, Eddie's on a weird BG schedule and I think I may have to increase 0.5u at some point to deal with those high PMPS and sometimes high AMPS.

Yes, I am in Kelowna!! Where are you? Tell Checkers we've had only one hot day so far and that was Monday and now it's cool again, which I love!

I don't know of any vet specifically that can apply Libre monitors but I'm confident that Eddie's regular vet, Dr. Ohse, at South Mission Animal Hospital could do it. South Mission is great. They are affiliated with Fairfield Emergency (24/7) and so there's good connections there. The IM vet (Hans Gelens) is at Fairfield and he's good too, for the most part, although he is the only IM vet in the Okanagan...

Hoping for more blues...for Eddie and Checkers

I am in the lower mainland, we had three hot days, I was miserable Checkers loved it.

Looks like I will increase too. Hoping for more blues too.

Thanks for the tip about the vet. I don't think my sister in law wants to test Checkers manually, so a CGM seems like a good solution.

If you transfer the Lab values to the Labs tab of the spreadsheet, it's a really good way to see trends. You ever had his blood sent to Idexx? Would be interesting to see both and SDMA and also urinalysis results on the SS, specifically USG. Though some of Eddie's meds (desmo?) might complicate that value. Urine protein also of interest.
forgot to add: prior to diagnosis, Eddie weighed about 6kg; when he came back from WSU, he had lost .5kg and since then he's just packed on the pounds (or the kg if we're in Canada). IM vet says while he would like to see Eddie lose some weight, he recognizes the acro-tendency to bigness. Eddie eats only LC food and even then doesn't overeat.
I had an understanding with Neko. In spite of her Maine Coon heritage, she was not allowed to go over 15 lbs (6.8 kg). Acros have a tendency to arthritis and Neko's was bad, so I had to try to keep her at a reasonable weight. The 15 lb's wasn't arbitrary. She loved food all her life and when she was younger she hit 15lb, so I started limited the calories to what she needed to maintain a reasonable weight. I didn't change that with the diabetes, then acro diagnosis. I did find the raw food, though less volume for the same calories, seemed to fill her up more.
