J.D. is in his bounce now.
We went for a very very quick walk this morning, as it is cold outside (nice
). J.D. ate his 1st Breffis and got his meds. and is laying in his little kitty bed all snuggled up with Ginger.
I think I have a plan now for these calipers: Last night, while I was struggling to measure a dose, my DBF said don't you know what you're doing? and I said no. He said well you're using the calipers, don't you know what number you're supposed to measure to? and I said no, all the syringes are different  .
So far, I have given him 1.40mm, 0.86mm, and 1.20mm. So I added them all together and divided by 3 and the average is 1.15mm and that's what the dose is going to be.
Of course when I measured out the insulin to the 0.50 unit mark this morning, the 1.15mm is at the 0.50 mark and he's supposed to be getting a s0.50, but we'll see how it goes. I have to be consistant somehow.
Also, when I squeezed out that pin head sized drop, it still measured 1.15mm, so I am guessing the syringe has a vacumm like action where after you press the plunger to get that teeny bit out, when you relax the pressure off the plunger it kind of goes back to where it was.
Anyway, hope J.D. comes down nice and easy, today, and everyone has a good day.
I am wishing the best of luck for Deb's Ali's surgery today.
