Ducky is doing really well, very frisky

Quick question, Is it normal for cats to be in the 40's? and is there still a risk of Hypo?

Re: 06/24 Ducky AMBG 48 OTJ Trial Day 3 :)

Congratulations Ducky! This is wonderful!

I just was reading on here a couple days ago that someone posted that their cat was BG 28, but wasn't on insulin, a non FD kitty. They asked the same question if a kitty could hypo when not on insulin. The reply was no! The person who had the BG 28 kitty was not leaving any food out at all during the day when they were gone so kitty was getting pretty low on her own, and it was suggested they might want to leave some canned food out for kitty to nibble on so she doesn't go quite so low.

Do you leave any food for Ducky? How does he seem to be feeling?

He seems like he is feeling fine, runs all around and we put a lot of food out so it usually takes a little time to eat... It just seemed kind of low.

Boy I wish Luna would hang in the 40's! But he like's his 70's to 100 too much

Just to back up the previous post, no risk of hypo at all.
One of our OTJ kitties Baby (Nicole & Baby) was a regular in those ranges.

Lucky Duck!!

Thank you Ronnie for jumping in there to back me up. I knew I read that on here *somewhere* but I've read so much since joining a couple weeks ago I could not tell you where exactly I saw it. That is GREAT that Ducky is doing so well. Lucky Ducky indeed!
