Sienne - Thanks for the good eye on the 3/19 post. I know if I were to look back a couple of months from now I would have wondered about the actual date so I edited it so it would read 6/19 and I appreciate you letting me know.
I'm so proud of Dusty. He's doing so good right now. I can't wait until this weekend so I can make more frequent tests. I'm so curious to see how the Lantus is working for him. What I am hoping for is a good smooth curve instead of all the ups and downs that the ProZinc gave him. Now that he is registering on the meter I can actually take a curve. Yay!!!
Funny about the LB. Dusty's very private about his LB habits. I assume like most cats. He tries to be very inconspicuous. If I watch him, he likes to wander around the dining room table acting like he's sniffing at the floor, then wander over towards the mud room to do his business. If he notices me watching him, usually he will then make his way over for a pat. For the majority of the time, he can sneak in and out of the mud room, gets his business done and be gone without me even knowing he has visited until I walk in to check his boxes, which is very often. The other day, I didn't realize he was in there and I went in to check on some laundry I had put on to wash. There he was with his back to me. I don't think he heard me coming until I was right there because when I saw him with his back turned peeing in the middle of the floor, well like my mom used to do me when I was in trouble, I called out his whole name. It startled him, he didn't turn around right away, but I could tell it got his attention. I couldn't help but grin before he turned around, because I could tell when he jumped, he thought he was getting away with it again. I shamed him by telling him shame on you about 3 times in a row and so far, he hasn't done it again. I would like to think it will never happen again, but it always does when Dusty isn't felling well. I really think it's his way of telling us he is unhappy with his health.
