LL peeps! Good afternoon!!!

Quick report on the toofless kitty in this house. He's going well. Checked his BG twice in the last couple of weeks and he's running about 65!

Took him to the vet on Thursday to have his healing assessed and apparently he's healing well. His stitches are still there and some of them look to be a little poky-stray - I know that's not a word. I hope that the stitches will go away on their own because I don't really want them to sedate him again to take the stitches out. It's certainly not stopping him from eating!!!

He still weighs 18.7 lbs (although on my home scale he's about 18.4) and when the vet gave him several, maybe 8 chewy treats (zillion carbs) he ate them as if he hadn't eaten in years.... I do feed him for the record! I didn't say anything to her... but I knew it wasn't a good idea to give him those things. He's had enough vet probing and poking lately, I figured he could have 'something' good and pleasant at the vet to remember that it's not all bad.

I haven't seen him carry any toys in his mouth but I'm sure that will come in due time. One thing at the time.... 1st healing... then fun!

To answer Miriam (In Libby/Jazzy condo) yes, Sarah use to keep me awake all night - swimming lapse and lapse in the pool... almost torture ;-) but it paid off... so I forgave her.

I'm going to a Medieval dinner tonight... never been to one. It should be fun. DH thinks people will toss pieces of meat on the ground for people to eat off the bone! That's why I'm not taking him! All this to say that I won't be around to visit too many condos tonight... but i still wanted to stop by and give an update on Tizon since several of you were asking for an update.

Happy Caturday everyone!

Medieval dinner sounds incredible  A toothless kitty would enjoy that one!

Glad to hear all is well

Do you wear appropriate costumes to your Medieval dinner? If so.... we NEED photos!!

Hope Tizon's stitches do dissolve on their own and he starts picking up lots of toys. And he definitely deserved those yummy treats from the Vet.

Hi Helene,
My DH, a medievalist, remembers that when the Medieval & Renaissance Cookbook was published (back in the 1980s) the swan population of Central Park was decimated: people were eager to try the swan recipe. Moral of this story: be careful what you eat (and be sure that you get the "upper crust"!

So glad to hear that Tizon's mouth is healing. Also glad to hear that he enjoyed his treats from the vet!

Thanks for all the help you give Stu,

Ella

I'm glad to hear that Tizon is healing well. I didn't know he was such a big cat! What a bruiser! I've never been to a medieval dinner either, so I can't wait to hear how it was. Have a good time.

well it was a fundraiser for the local library... so it's all in good spirit and for a good cause.

I borrowed a long skirt from a friend and had to wear a tank top under a shirt that was .... 2 sizes too small (yeah... that's what 15 years do to you!). My air was pinned up and I think I gave it a good try. Some people are right into this thing - full out costumes and all.

Dinner part is good... a plate and lots of wine and no utensils. The smart ones ate food that didn't have sauce on it. Remember that if you ever go to one. And Ella... I ate BBQ pork ribs: looked like it, smelled like it and tasted like it... I think I'm safe!

Thanks for your visit everyone!

Helene you made me laugh with Med-Timer, I think that means Seamus is a Short-Timer?

Tizon is awesome, I like my kitties big too (18lbs for 'Mus) aww at the chewy treats, Tizon needed that.

I'm so glad to hear that Tizon is doing well. I think that a toothless kitty is just adorable. i have seen many and they really can do just about anything that Tizon would need to do with no teeth :-D <--- see even this little guy has no teeth and he's happy!

(And omigosh, he's like 2X the size of what Alex is now) ohmygod_smile

Hope you had a great time last night..I'm sure you made a lovely medieval wench..lol ;-)
