Thanks friends :YMHUG:
J.D. found and ate that huge (to me and him) baggie of EVO and ate it last night, so that may contribute some to his high numbers, plus the skipped shot. He did meow for most of the trip, and usually he's a little better, but again, he was drinking a lot of water before we left the house. I checked his pee pads before we got on the plane and they felt dry (it is so hard to manipulate anything in that tight place, let me tell you, with your face pressed into the back of the seat in front of you while you try to reach down to under the seat in front of you), but mid way through the flight I felt wet, so quickly got out my large baggie and scooped two wet pee pads out.
Except for take off and landing, I unzip the front of his carrier and the top of his carrier, and just try to hold tightly to his leash, in case I dooze off, which I did off and on. and on and.. J.D. would sometimes try to go through my feet and to climb under my seat to the people in back of me, if I let him. Mostly, he lays with most of his body between my feet and maybe just his butt and tail actually inside the carrier.
When we arrived at SFO, after I got my checked bag (which I thought was lost, at first, but didn't care because it only had my clothes in it, and all the important stuff (J.D.'s stuff and my purse) were in my carry on), I took him into the restroom, and checked him on the pull down cat testing table, and took out two more wet pee pads. He was 511, and I gave him some R, as it was another 7 hours until his (newly scheduled CA) shot time. We stopped for some lunch on the way home to my Dad's house, and J.D. ate a couple of pieces of hamburger and snuggled with me (in between meows) on the 2 hour car ride home. As soon as the car stopped at my Dad's house, he knew where he was. He jumped to get out of the car, went directly to the door to the house, and then to our bedroom. A little later, we took a little nap, and he was very purry, as he always is when we're here.
I called my neighbor, and she said that Ginger was fine, and that she would call me if anything was wrong...
Excuse me, I am not waiting, I'll call you lady. No really, she said Ginger was eating and purring and rubbing against her leg.
Since we ate such a late lunch, and are all full from that, I am taking my parents out for ice cream sundaes, after PMPS.
