Tray decided to wake me up at 4:30am by throwing up all over my bed! Nice of him no? I tested him and he was 358, he's come down a bit since then so I hope he just had a sore tummy and will be fine. I'm going to see if I can sneak off work early today to get home and be with him. He's eating now and purring so fingers crossed it was nothing and he's back to normal and we see nicer numbers.

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329

Sometimes, J.D. throws up a bit of clear fluid in the early morning hours. I think it has something to do with an empty tummy. I hope Tray is fine, and no more throw ups today.

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329

It was a brownish colour, bile mostly. He hasn't thrown up in ages so I was a bit worried but just before I left for work he was his old self, chasing his brother around the house.

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329

sorry to hear tray wasn't feeling good last night .. I always feel bad for sick kitties ... looks like tray and mocha are hanging out in the same neighborhood today .. blah ... I hope they both come down!

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329

Kasha will often throw up in the wee early morning hours if she has an empty tummy, too. I try to make sure there is at least a spoonful of food out for her overnight so she can get something in her, but apparently she never came into the kitchen to check her bowl last night (and why, when she's used to me leaving bowls of food all over for her) so she threw up too.

I think all the kitties partied too hard this week...

Hope Tray feels better soon!

Hey Tray - what's up? You and I have about the same numbers - cool! And no more pukus, OK? Seems to be alot of that this morning with us kitties! My bean says I need yellow today, so ok, we be tryin' - join me, OK? ~~ Mannie

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329

This was a morning for pukeys ....and Shadow managed to have a nice one on MY bed too after the one in the dining room. sigh. Hope Tray will feel better now. Good that the numbers came down a bit too...a little more would be nice...

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329

Yeah - everyone's vomiting. Somehow, this morning I managed to find the exact place she threw up and step in it with my bare feet. It was only clear fluid, but still... of all the places on the carpet, not sure how I managed to step right in that one spot. Must be luck :-|

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329

they plot it that way, they think, where can I puke that will most annoy Mama?
Naughty cats.

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329

A friend of mine was cat sitting in Florida once and the whole house had tile floors except for one area rug. My friend swears the kitty would RUN for that rug the minute she started to vomit!!!

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329 +10=178

YAY Tray is 178 @+10!
He seems to be feeling better even though no one ate the food that I left for them. He's eating his raw rabbit now though.
I hope he stays in the blues and doesn't climb back up as he seems to after being low for a few hours.

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329 +10=178

Yeah - just got home at +11 and Kasha is 153. I think they're just messing with us today...

Re: 06/18 Tray's AMPS 329 +10=178

PMPS was 187 but in typical Tray fashion he's on the rise, +3=295 I just know he'll be in the pinks soon. It's as if the second dose has no effect or something confused_cat

Huh - I wonder what's up with Tray... Do you think it could be a bounce from some mysterious event that happened when you weren't around to monitor? I swear that Kasha has been dropping low during the day when I'm at work and then bouncing in the evenings... But I couldn't prove it. Finally she got the schedule right and dropped this evening while I was home. My dad asked if there wasn't some way to just monitor them all the time so we'd know what was really going on!

Oh if only! I wish I could train him to test his own BG and then email me the results at work lol!
that's just it, does he drop too low and bounces? Or is he just trying to drive me crazy? At least Kasha is behaving for you tonight.

My vet is convinced that they shouldn't bounce unless they drop super low - like the 20s or so. I told her that they also bounce when they drop fast, even if they don't necessarily drop super low. And some bounce when they hit numbers that they just aren't used to - like the blues for some cats. But, she'd never heard of that and since most vets have never seen a spreadsheet like the ones we keep - they don't really know how that all works. And if she only looks at my SS, she doesn't realize this is a pattern that many of the cats exhibit. Sigh...

Well, Kasha is very smart, but I don't think I could convince her to test her own BG and email it to me! I'm imagining crazy contraptions that lure her in with treats, then poke her ear, test her and transmit the results to me - LOL! If only I were more mechanical - I could invent something really useful!

Are you off work for the weekend so you can monitor him more often?

Come on Tray - give your mama bean some better numbers!!!!
