My hands are still shaking as I type this, but did my first dose draw and shot attempt - not sure if I ended up doing a furshot but he didn't flinch or anything? Either that's a bad sign if I didn't get any in there or a good sign if it's not hurting him lol. Curse his luxurious long fur! Not shooting again of course. I am using the ReliOn 31 gauge 6mm needles - maybe I need something longer?
Planning on being up for a while bc I am pretty wired from all that, so we'll see if anything happens! Since its a depot insulin, would I see anything happening on the first dose, or will that take a while?
Time to catch up on work to distract myself from spiraling

So I tried to smell his fur and it did smell like Lantus but it could have just been my hands rubbing on him trying to find a good spot to shoot lol. I have my vet tech teaching appointment tomorrow morning, I might have them shave me a spot so its easier in the first few days to make sure he's getting his dose.
