It's not like me to worry unnecessarily (ha!) but can someone please have a peek at Ivana's numbers since she's been OTJ, and tell me if I should be keeping a closer eye on her? She is still green, so it's not her actual numbers I'm talking about, but rather that she appears to be slowly climbing since going OTJ. Maybe I should be testing more often, or at particular times of the day? Any input is appreciated :)

Oh and here's a cute pic of Ivana with her new book. Yep, it's a pretty big book!

Love the cute pic of Ivana with her bedtime book....should keep her occupied and out of trouble for some time. (And you too)
I think her numbers look excellent and I can't see anything to worry about. But see what others think.
Are you taking any tests in the evening at all?

I don't think you need to worry. She's looking great.

Typically blood sugar is lowest about 3 hours after eating, so if you want to catch the lowest point, you might do your testing at that point for her.

Great to see you both!!

Well that's two votes for "Tara should take a chill-pill", so that's a good sign :D

I have been trying to test her at various times of her cycle, so I guess I'll just keep doing that and see how she goes. Will try some PM cycles tests too. At the moment we're testing weekly, I might temporarily ramp it up to twice-weekly for my own piece of mind just to see what she's doing.

LOL nice one Tricia.

Her numbers look great it doesn't look like you have anything to worry about. I am thinking of getting the same book for George how is Ivana liking her bed time reading?

Hey Tara! Good to see you and the beautiful Miss Ivana. She is quite the scholar. Her numbers look great to me and it looks like you have gotten a nice sample of different times in the cycle. Maybe check the glucometer to get her average and that might make you feel better. Guess we will never stop worry about our Sugar Babies.

The book only arrived yesterday, so I - I mean, Ivana - hasn't started reading it yet. Happy to take a pic of the contents page if you need convincing of it's comprehensiveness... it's massive! Makes my whinge about the exchange rate and shipping costs seem silly now

She's such a pretty kitty!
I looked at the ss. Her numbers look fine to me! But if you want to make sure her pancreas is still working, test at mealtime then test 3 hours later; her level should be lower.
Ivana....enjoy your new book!

that book looks very comprehensive
It sure is! I started reading it last night in bed, and one very interesting thing I learned is that Ivana's breed (Russian Blue) is one of the breeds who develop CKD twice as often as most other breeds. So I guess she kinda had it coming, so to speak. A bit crappy, although nothing we could have done of course.

That is really interesting. I guess some of them must beat the odds, but as you say, it's one of those things. I'm really happy she's doing so well :)
