J.D. does seem to be feeling a lot better. He is walking much better and has more energy. When he goes to the water fountain (which isn't as often) he takes a few licks and walks away.
Now, to figure out his BGs. I almost went up to a F0.50 this morning. But, decided at the last minute to wait until tonight.
Our Walk Was Not Good: I know I've said this on multiple occasions, but it's now finalized. Ginger has to be on a leash, for awhile. J.D. happily followed me outside, and then stopped, so I went back in the house and got some steak. That got him going, and we were about half way through out walk, when I see Ginger jump into the middle of the wooded strip and her belly is down and her tail is awagging, and I know this is no ordinary pretent-to-be-the-huntress position.
I yell "No Ginger" and rush to her. I keep yelling "No, Ginger", but she does not seem to hear me. I see her run a few feet forward into the bushes and then leap up a couple feet into the shrubs, grab something, and then she's on the ground, and I somehow got through all the shrubbery and trees to where she is, on the other side of the wooded area. She has a baby bird. She drops it on command, and it's on it's back. Then I notice all the parent birds making a ruckus along with me and dive bombing us. I flipped the baby over and it instantly flipped itself back to being on hit's back with it's little feet upwards and little wings spread out and flat on the ground. I grabbed Ginger, and we walked away. Then J.D. doesn't know where we are, so I'm holding Ginger and I see him going through the same wooded section looking for us. I keep calling him to get his attention, as I know he would kill that bird if he saw it. Luckily, he did not. Ginger was carried the rest of the walk, wimpering and shaking a little. I'm sorry, Ginger.
We came home, and CPC happened at AMPS. J.D. just got his meds. I really don't know what to do about his BGs.
I have tomorrow off of work, and Sunday he goes to work with me. I can increase him again, and see of I can get him into the blues.
I hope everyone has a Good Friday. I hope J.D. decides he's done with these reds.
