WCR: All is well with Blackie. AMPS weight=10.89 lbs. Received the Cosequin in yesterday's mail. Question: According to the bottle, the recommended dose for a cat over 10 lbs. is 2 capsules (they're the pull-apart capsules), however, for a cat under 10 lbs. it's 1 capsule. Considering Blackie weighs just over 10 lbs., I'm to give her 2, correct? Can I also give them say at preshot feeding and then again at +1 feeding, or do they need to be spread apart... say every 12 hours?

I haven't been posting much over the past couple of days due to a head cold. Currently taking Robitussin, and Zicam (CVS Pharmacy version, which tastes nasty). Not sure where I got it, but I'm trying to get rid of it.

Sending tons of healing vines, positive thoughts, and prayers to whoever needs them.

Sorry I can't answer your cosequin question, but I will be interested in what the others tell you. Blackie is looking good today. Surf safe, Blackie! And don't forget the Full Strawberry Moon Party tonight.

Nice numbers for Blackie today. I've been told by vets that spreading out the Cosequin/glucosamine is better. I also give fish oil for arthritis and that should also be split AM/PM.

Healing vines for you - summer colds are yucky.

I do the same as Wendy, split it up between AM and PM. As for how much you are right on the bubble, it depends on how bad the joints are. I think some beans even give extra for bad arthritis.
