I was hoping the flat yesterday morning, would mean some action, but I guess not.
He'll get an increase tonight. It's back up to that dreaded 1.25 dose, that is so hard for me to measure consistantly.

Kitties ate all their breffis, and are digesting in their...never mind, I turned around to check, and J.D. is behind my computer chair staring at me  Probably wants more food.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Darn on the dose increase. Measuring the .25 is extremely hard for me, too. I hope J.D. hears you threatening him with more juice and he decides to go down a few floors.

Re: 06/10 J.D. AMPS 434, +1 463, PMPS 262

I increased J.D.'s dose to the dreaded 1.25, tonight. Dreaded, because it is very very hard for me to measure and be consistant with this dose. Turn the syringe just slightly and it looks like 1.5 and just slightly the other way and it looks like a f1.0. Add to that the problems I'm having with these lovely syringes. Anyway, wish us luck.

J.D. has to go back to the vet on Monday, AGAIN, to get examed AGAIN, to get his health certificate.
I made the appointment for both my cats (pre-vacation) check ups on June 4th. They got all their shots, and exams, and J.D. got his bloodwork. As soon as the vet heard I was leaving on the 19th, he said his "health certificate needs to be within 10 days of departure. They (the receptionist) didn't tell you?". No, so now he gets an exam, two weeks in a row.
And I get to pay for it.

I have been feeling pangs of guilt and heart hurt for the past 3 days or so, of leaving Ginger at home, when we leave. And she picks up on it, and gives me the most sorrowful and pathetic looks in return. I hate leaving her, every year.

DBF will be okay, he has someone to look in on him. He's a human and understands what's going on, and that I'll be back. Ginger, just thinks I'm abandoning her, once again. It makes me imagine, and look forward to, coming home from vacation and to my little girl, even though I haven't even left, yet

(((Dyana))) You have a lot on your plate  I hope you can relax a bit while you are away. The travelling kitties group will take good care of Ginger while you are away. Sending lots of healing vines to DBF. You have all been in my thoughts.

Re: 06/10 J.D. AMPS 434, +1 463, PMPS 262

Thanks Linda.
I just have to go on this vacation, as my dad is turning 80 and he just got over a hospital stay for a "massive" (whatever that means) blood clot go to his lungs after a minor hernia operation. I have to go see him.
I do have a lot on my plate, as I had three major projects at work to do before I leave and one is pretty much done, one is as close as we are going to get (for now) done, and the other is barely started...and at the same time, I'm training a new hire (which is going really well). DBF has a good attitude, and I'm trying to stay possitive and busy.

Sometimes, I "have to" scream when I feel overwhelmed. When, I'm driving, I roll up all the windows, and as long as no one is around, I just scream at the top of my lungs and scream and scream

, and get it all out, until my throat hurts, and beyond... And then I feel better. Sorry, I guess, you didn't need to know how weird, I am

Re: 06/10 J.D. AMPS 434, +1 463, PMPS 262

you've got a lot going on dyana. i suspect more people than you would ever imagine scream when they are alone sometimes. and the car is just about perfect for that.

sounds like you really need a break and your dad will be thrilled to see you. gotta carpe diem, you know!

Re: 06/10 J.D. AMPS 434, +1 463, PMPS 262

(((Dyana))) you do have ALOT going on. I know it has to be stressful to leave DBF and Ginger but also stressful to not go and see your dad. Just have a safe trip and try not to worry too much.....you'll be back home before you know it.

JD...come on down buddy!!! Good luck with your dosecrease.

Re: 06/10 J.D. AMPS 434, +1 463, PMPS 262

Dyana...I can totally understand how you feel. While I'm not going through anything like what you're going through, we all get overwhelmed with the world around us. Personally, there are many days I would just love to run away from all of it. Actually, though, I think I'm liking your "screaming" idea much better...screaming, I can do. Running away, no can do.

You're no weirder than the rest of us. I hope your trip helps you relax. Try not to worry about Ginger...we'll all be here for her, and you.

Amy

Re: 06/10 J.D. PMPS 262, +3.5 161, +5.25 63, +6.5 36

He was fed regular meals at PMPS and at +3.5, and then woke me up purring loudly in my ear at +5.25, so I gave him his 3rd dinner. At +6.5 even after eating, he was at 36, so I gave him a heaping spoon of HC.

Back to ff1.00?

I measure the 1.25 as somewhere halfway between 1.00 and 1.50  I'm sorry, this dose is frustrating  I'll try to explain again.

I try to measure 1.25 as a large line of light (more the width of the black unit markings, maybe twice that width) showing between the plunger and the 1 unit mark

ff1.00 as a sliver of light between the plunger and the 1 unit mark

f1.00 as the plunger up against the 1 unit mark

What should I try tomorrow?

Re: 06/10 J.D. +6.5 36 HC, +7 55 Dose Help Please

J.D. knew just how much you didn't like measuring that 1.25u dose!! I would go back to your previous dose -- the ff1.00. From my way of thinking, you know J.D. If you think dropping the dose a little more makes the most sense, that's fine.
