Hi, everyone,

It's been a while; I hope you all are doing good! My life over here has been kind of crazy but hoping to get things more back on track. The 4.5 hasn't been doing much for her, probably because she keeps gaining weight! I have to seriously start working again on the diet plan. I'm thinking tonight of upping her to 4.75. :nailbiting: Can't believe it!

Also sometimes I'm tempted to put her back on some wet food again to help her numbers, but she's never consistent eating it and I think her digestion seems to do much better on the dry only. So frustrating.

Huh, and of course when I'm thinking of upping her dose, she decides to spit out the nicest preshot in quite a while. But overall her numbers have sucked so unless I'm not catching the better numbers, I'm still thinking she needs to go up. I'm home tomorrow so can watch.

Good call on the increase ;). The dry food really does contribute to higher BG levels, so try not to be too focused on the dose, it will just need to be what it will be.

It can be a struggle when you need to balance out digestive issues. Are you finding she’s still a happy kitty overall?
Yes, she looks and acts great! Her coat is soft and fluffy; she has a very good appetite; bowel movements are regular and normal; no throwing up. Only recent issue (but it's unrelated to the diabetes and yet I've been meaning to ask about it on here!) is she's been getting a lot of that cat acne on her chin area and looks like maybe one of the blackheads has become a little sore or something by her mouth. I'm trying different types of bowls to see if it'll clear up; otherwise she may need to get a cream or something from the vet. But she doesn't act like it bothers her, so at least that's good.

It has been discouraging seeing her dose rise and rise, but I guess I feel better knowing at least why it's happening and that yes, it's kind of a balancing act and I have to consider other factors, as well. My priority is definitely her eating and digestion because I've seen a couple times now how badly that can go when it goes south, :eek:and then that in turn affects the diabetes even more!
