Last night, I gave him some fluids (50mls) and I guess I shouldn't do that. I'm still not sure of what I'm doing with that. My vet said 3 times a week, and he got some on Sunday, on Tuesday, and then last night. But, others here say not to give fluids, so I guess I'll discontinue. Could someone enlighten me again, as to why I should not do what my vet says?
I started using my OneTouch meter again last night (which does test higher than the Arkray meter).
At +6, I got a test of 475, and tested again to make sure it was right and got a 474, so I gave him 0.0 (zero line) of R.

Today, I slept in :-D a lot. This is supposed to be my 3 day weekend, but I am covering someone else's shift tomorrow (8:00am to 5:00pm), and could leave J.D. at home, since his shots are 6:00am/6:00pm, but I'll probably take him with me. Just for the testing opportunity, and I want to see how he eats during the day. Although everything is different at work, strange people, lots of stress, and pretty much meal feeding, where I think at home he has started free feeding because I leave so much food out, he just doesn't seem to meal feed anymore.
On Monday, I have 3 morning appointments, but will be home in the afternoon.

I added a hair onto his dose last night.
He ate 1 tablespoon MC (about 1/4 can) FF at +7, and he is now at 53 at +7.5.

He is still drinking a lot of water.

do not think that small amount will hurt. my guys get 100 every day. not hurting them. helping, don't know but I always questioned the "flushing out the kidneys" when their kidneys are not working right,m how can they flush/ I dunno but it does keep them hydrated and I suppose if kidneys not too too bad, it dilutes the urine to a degree where sediment and stuff have more fluid to move out. I know, confusing.

nice numbers but I suppose he is a gonna bounce again. what caused the last bounce into 500??

I don't know Dian. I used to call him the Christmas cat, red and green.
I guess he bounced from the 178 the night before. Maybe he went down too fast :roll: I just don't know.
Time to test.

I can't believe it's +9 already. Where did the day go? :lol:
J.D. is outside on the porch drinking from the watering can and I am boiling chicken breast for his snacks.

Wow on JDs numbers today!!! Guess he wanted a dose reduction.

So, can I just keep giving this dose through the weekend, and then reduce him on Tuesday, when I go back to work? I guess not, huh? I just like him in the greens :sad: Maybe I can give him a medium fat .50 :lol: I need to go buy a magnifying glass.. or another pair of glasses.

anymore glasses and they may confuse us. that TOR might have had something to do with todays numbers also. seems when he is in the 200's and you give a fat dose he goes too low. if you are staying with the dose, then maybe watch closely and control with MC and hc,
just a thought. totally up to you but you know he is or should have a bounce for this right??

J.D.!!! You are really bouncing down to the greens today! Very nice surf going on right now. There are so many bouncy kitties here in LL lately, with Simon being one of them!
