I stayed with 0.50U. I need to stabilize the depot. I can always go up but need to keep him safe. He is eating but I am shell-shocked and don't trust it to hold (just yet). I gave him 1/8th Mirtz (0.9375) last night so that is helping currently. Plus I have to give another Epogen shot tonight which has made him nauseated in the past (but last time, with meds help a lot).

Holding 0.50U through the weekend will give me 8 cycles until I have to go back to work and hopefully will see him even out.

Thank you. So far so good. It seems it is taking him longer to recover. His numbers are recovering faster than his body I think. He is becoming a bit more active and is becoming more interactive with us again. Poor boy just been through a lot. His fur is soft again and his body feels "firmer" - I can't explain it but stronger feeling. Same thing happened the last time we treated the anemia.

How is rabbit? (what is the name, I forgot)? I thought about you the other day when we had one of our back yard rabbits feeding under the bird feeder. They are so funny. Mama is huge, I think there are 2-3 smaller ones (which I assume are her babies) but they are not tiny - just smaller than her.

This was taken through the kitchen window. :D This is one of the smaller ones.

Yes, our back yard. It was the primary selling point for me with the house. When we moved in there was 150 year old oak tree in the back. It wss beautiful. A storm took out its primary branch and the tree died after. I cried when we had it cut down :( We used to have a herd of deer that would come in and feed every evening but they clear cut some of the forest behind our subdivision and they disapated. Raccoons, opposums, doves, tons of birds, turtles and snakes all frequent on a regular basis.

Here is the "branch" that broke off. The posts in the back are 4 1/2 feet high.

Our bunny, Snowflake, is doing well. Although he has starting peeing in different corners of his cage. He is 4 months old, so I think it most likely related to marking his territory. We have a vet appt next week to discuss getting him fixed. Hopefully that will stop the few bad behaviors he is developing. Rabbits are such amazing animals ... I love watching them jump and play.

When I owned a house, I had to have a 140-year-old elm tree taken down. The arborists started on a very cold January day, and before they got there, I watched eleven squirrels emerge from the tree and start their day. I cried, too.

Hope Gizmo had a good evening.
