Does anyone use marshmallow root in place of SEB? If so, how do you administer? Dosage? I think SEB brings Gizmo's BG up - I had to give him some last night (+4.5) as he was exhibiting signs of discomfort. I have suspected this before and have not been giving it to him for constipation but he needed SEB for stomach last night (and look at his +11).

Happy Birthday Lizzie! I am not familiar with dosage for cats but I do use Marshmallow Root tea for myself for it's health benefits. That is interesting if SEB does raise BG since Bronx gets about 1/4tsp 2x/day of the NOW brand. Thinking of switching to organic once the bottle runs out.

It has happened more than once - now I know there are other factors but it just seems like it does and would like to have a different option. It was funny us talking about SEB last night and then Gizmo needing it - these crazy cats. It seems that every time he is feeling good and running around he pays for it with tummy issues. He seems fine this morning. Good appy and CBC @ PS and +2.5.

I did find some info on dosage but not how to administer.
 
I think I used it with my old cat but I dint recall dose. I was mixing it in baby food gerber turkey and gravy or chicken and gravy. She would just lick off a spoon. Watch out heating in the microwave I heat for 6 seconds and test first before I give her on the spoon.

I don't have any experience with the marshmellow root. I have only used SEB for diarrhea. I use the Natural Moves for the constipation.

Did not eat his +2.5. Picked it up after 30 min. He does not act like he is feeling bad. Just not interested. He ate all of his fudz during the AM cycle - will test @ +4 and then his +4.5 snack turns in 30 min after that. If he eats that I will put his +2.5 snack down and it will be available until +7.5.

I have it. I made the mistake of starting it when I started the potassium again and I wasn't sure which was turning him off on the food. I honestly think it was the potassium but going to try it (NM) again. Just giving it a bit more time.

I must have missed it on the Med form. I think I remember now a discussion about it w BronxDad. Bubba gives me trouble eating the meals with it in and I am only putting in 1/4 cap twice a day. I have to put a few pieces of YA dry on top of it for him to finish eating. Forrest has no issue with it on his food.

Yeah, Bronx doesn't like it either. I have to only use a small amount hidden in some food he really likes.
