You're so funny Carolyn.
I wish I had a sense of humor. I feel I am so drab when I post.
It is so yucky outside. Everything is sticky. And the breezes just slowly move the warm pudding like air. I hate humidity!
It doesn't seem to bother my cats, though. They have been out in it all morning so far. J.D. was even laying in the sun on the hot pavement for awhile. His thick black fur just absorbs that heat, and he is hot to the touch when I pet him. Crazy cats.
For excitement: The post man brought a big box from Fosters and Smiths full of freeze dried cat treats. And, we have a batch of new weanling squirrels that aren't all that afraid of humans or cats. Which is probably partly my fault, because I feed them peanuts. I saw Ginger ready to pounce on something so walked over to her with a new bucket of freeze dried liver and looked down and there was a baby (weanling) squirrel about 2 feet from me. Then J.D. saw the squirrel too. It was Ginger to the East, J.D. to the West, Me to the North, and the wall to my condo to the South. I lured the cats away with the cat treats, and threw the baby a peanut. All are happy!
Last night, I was feeding "Mamma" squirrel, and I can't believe it. Ginger was hiding under a bush beside the condo wall, and Mamma squirrel with a peanut in her mouth ran past Ginger twice ..right up along the wall.. with Ginger one foot away from her. Luckily Ginger knows the word "No" and obeys it. J.D. I have to physically restrain from attacking my friends.
I don't know if J.D. is having a mild bounce from yesterday's blues, or whatever he did, or the flat yellows today are a sign of him gearing up for a nice next cycle. We'll see..
