Good afternoon,

Here is yesterday:

https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/06-01-eddie-amps-373-6-356-pmps-353.290678/

I have discovered something about Eddie and eating. We had a bit of food war this morning but then I was going to give him some medication later and instead of using the bone broth, I just used warm water and surprise, surprise, no war. Like what?

I just tested him at AM +6 and I did the same thing: no bone broth to moisten, just warm water and again...

Maybe there's no correlation but this morning's food, prepared as usual (meaning smoothie with the broth) received no interest. Plain water on the other hand...

We'll see how things go tonight at PM and larger meal...

Hoping he's on an upswing heading towards Wednesday.

I wonder if Eddie has developed a food aversion to bone broth because he associates it with nausea.

I know RK is likely doing something similar…certain foods work for awhile, then she absolutely refuses them. I have her on ondansetron twice a day for now but if I let up at all we seem to get back in the food refusal-rotation cycle.

And we all have some story of getting sick after eating a certain food (likely coincidental) and being turned off that food forever…

Glad you’re getting close to the dental. Fingers crossed for you and Eddie.

You know, about the bone broth, that is entirely possible. Tonight i also water-smoothied-up salmon pate instead of chicken and that seems to have hit the right note.

That's also right on about certain foods for awhile and then it's like "What makes you think I like this stuff?"

One PMPS closer...

I have a full pantry section for Tiger. He will eat one thing for days and then refuses it. Give another flavor and gobbles it down. I keep circling around several brands and flavors and eventually he will come around to the one he refused maybe weeks ago.
We get tired of the same food everyday, I guess they do too.
He may like the broth again after a break from it….so glad he’s eating and you figured it out!
