05/29 - Wondering if I have missed Pinkie's ideal dose?

Hi everyone,

Pinkie had seemed to be doing pretty good after being at .75u for awhile, quite a few blues in her spreadsheet and onset/nadir seemed to be fairly consistent.

I increased to 1u in hopes of getting her overall numbers just a little bit lower. There have been some blues and a couple greens but mostly right when I made the change. It seems to be more bouncy and inconsistent since then.

Should I go back to the .75u? Any input is appreciated. Spreadsheet is attached. Thanks!

I think she is bouncing from the low 97 she’s not used to. I would not decrease.

Her amps just now was 8.9. I am home to monitor and a week ago the same thing happened and she was fine so I gave the full 1u dose.

If she just keeps bouncing like this with low Amps every few days and high pmps then that would warrant a dose lowering, correct? How many times should i try and just wait out the bounce?

No. The answer depends on whether you are following TR or SLGS. She earns a reduction with TR if she drops under 50. With SLGS a reduction is earned if she drops under 90. You test enough to do TR. A cat bounces until used to being in normal numbers, 50-120.

Are you still giving her ,"a bit" of dry food? It will cause High BG. Better not to feed any dry.
