05/26 Merlin PMPS 22.2 (400), 15.1 (286)@+1, 11.1 (200) @+2, 10.2 (184),6.8 (122) @+3, 9.6(173) @+4

It's ok just take your time, be calm and if things go wrong start again with a brand new syringe because syringes blunt easily and a blunt syringe could hurt Merlin.

Well, that’s fantastic! We will check in with you a lot today. If you need anything, just tag us. I will check back in about two hours at onset time. Going back to bed now (I think… because I am sitting here with a cup of coffee. ). It’s 4:21 am here, but I set alarms to be here for Merlin’s first shot!

Can I please have a reminder of how to write in times not on the hour and also to colour the square after I have done that, on the spreadsheet?

Then to color code the cell, use the little icons at the top of the sheet. One looks like a little tin of paint with paint pouring out of it - and the one next to it - one is the “fill color” (the paint can) - that’s for the background color. The other one is the text color, which sometimes you need to change the color of the letters in the cell after you change the background color because the text cannot be read easily because there’s no contrast …. You will see what I mean.

The spreadsheet will color code automatically any number that you put in as long as it’s only a number. It’s when we start writing extra text into the cell that we have to manually color code the cells. A lot of people even write directly into the cell things like
1 t. LC, or 1 t. HC, etc.

Should I say shoot time was 9:18, and aim for that time tonight, or go back to the original 9:00 on the dot and give him his PM at 9:00?
Yes. You know about the rule that shot times should be adjusted no more than thirty minutes a day, right? So you’re fine to shoot at 9 tonight since that’s within the 30 minutes.

Ok. Thank you. I have done so many readings in the past hour I have to catch up to myself. It is exciting to be on the train, or plane, or boat(?) to wellness…but, as you do at the beginning of a long voyage, I feel kind of giddy and sick. I hope this journey is not too bumpy!

Merlin will do great! How can he not when he has such a wonderful family! You are very blessed to have each other. A lot of members on this Board have to do it all alone - being the sole caregiver for their diabetic cat. I just think it’s the sweetest and best thing… how you three are all together on this. This is going to come in handy too!

Jill also when you create your thread title could you add the US values as a lot of members are from America and it saves them converting or going to your spreadsheet for the numbers.
Something like this.
If it AMPS you would write
05/26/2022 Merlin AMPS 14.6 (263) or vice versa 263 (14.6) obviously if it's PMPS you would put that.
Also could you do that in your posts as well please, it just makes it easier for others that's all.

I will stick to Libre readings today so I can do more. If I do an ear test I will put that reading into the notes at the end, not into the spreadsheet.
Good idea Jill.
Just do the Libre all day so there is no mix up and then use the meter when you think you need to double check things.

Ok. I’m going to be testing every hour, and sometimes half hour. Should I just post readings from every two hours, or include every reading I take in the thread title?

Can you tell me the conversion formula again? The spreadsheet wont convert when I put more than one reading in an hour slot. I tried to do as Bhooma did on the hypo day, but it says on the US readings that it is text.

He has had a drop at onset. Sheba always used to have her biggest drop in the first few hours. Just feed some low carb…not too much.
Remember you are in control when you are testing the BG.
