Hi guys,
The vet saw Merry on Wednesday afternoon & she took blood & urine. On physical exam there wasn't much of concern but she does think his arthritis is bothering him more now than it was. She can see a difference in the way he walks, which I don't really notice because I see him every day but I know he's always been a little stiff in the back end. His bloodwork & u/a results came back yesterday & everything is normal
Well, except his BG of course but besides that all his values are great. Overall he's a very healthy 12 yr old kitty.
So I'll decide what to do for his arthritis pain & we'll see if that helps lower his BG. She also said the same thing others here have said & he may just need more insulin right now because that's how it goes.
Thank goodness I test him at home because otherwise I would have had no idea his BG was raising & without enough insulin he would have become very sick. I still never understand why vets do not recommend home testing. It doesn't make sense.
