Gave him 1.25 and will continue that dose.
He is doing good and seems happy. I've started to notice that glucose testing has become a "family affair." When I gather up the glucometer and treat bag and go find Jake it doesn't take long before my 4 other cats (civvies) are surrounding us because they are hoping for a treat too! None of them would be as good about getting ear pokes as Jake. (I have tried it on a couple of them just to compare glucose levels and I was NOT at all successful.)
I've noticed in the past few months that he has very good solid stools, sometimes goes 2x per day.
Previously he was very constipated and might not go at all for 2 days and when he did the result was a couple of hard pellets. The constipation happened when he ate a lot of Fancy Feast and before I syringe fed him (so maybe he wasn't eating enough?).
Now, he eats Friskies and Newman's Own plus I syringe feed him to ensure he gets at least 1 can in him every day. I also add extra water to the food.

Hahaha! Cute that all your kitties follow you when it is testing time... for them it is obviously "treat time!" Great that Jake's poo is better these days, it has to be healthier for him to be regular and his poo is less pellet-like. Yeah for poo, .... did I just say that? Oh well, you understand.

Hope the bounce will clear really soon and Jake gets back to pretty blue/green.

LB action is good! Tizon eats soup mainly.. next step, teaching him to use a spoon!
Looks like Jake is in RBC again.... it can last up to 72 hours (from your greens) so, pls sit tight on this dose until RBC clears!

The treat thing is like magic I find!!! Well done

Jake's PMPS was 96! He enjoyed some outside time on the patio tonight (with me at his side of course - he looks at me like, "Can't you just leave me alone for one minute?)).

Yes - Yay for poop!!!
