Good morning!
AMPS 306 shooting 2.5u

Boomer ate all of his overnight food. One thing I can say about these high levels, I don't have any problem getting him to eat! No more Mr Fussypants!

I was out briefly this morning, had a photo session with a young Great Blue Heron, then came back home. Light is terrible and it's not raining out a bit.:(

Yesterday I was at the pond closest to my home (Saunders Pond) and found a very cooperative and non-camera shy Eastern Bluebird! Up until this year, I had only seen bluebirds two or three times and had never managed a good photo; this year they are nesting near Saunders Pond and I've seen and photographed them several times.

Oh that would be wonderful!

Something to think about. When we put up 2 boxes, they were occupied within the week. One pair had 5 hatchlings all fledged. The other had 4, 3 fledged. Following year tree swallows moved in. Year 3 one house fell off tree. The other had 5 more bluebird hatched and had most of their blue feathers but one day when I checked them all were dead in the box and a parent dead on the ground. I don't know what happened.

We've thought of putting up a couple of bird houses but couldn't figure out where to put them. We have a very small backyard.

The "official" bluebird houses I got had instructions as to where to hang, how far off the ground, what direction to face the opening and should be near bush or tree with lower limbs so the fledgling have a place to land.
